Disana of Germany
As newcomers to this world, babies have a special need to feel safe and comfortable. This Disana baby cap protects baby's sensitive head and gently wraps it in warm, soft, GOTS-certified organic merino wool.
With a special cut and extra fine, flat seams, Disana makes sure that nothing pinches, even when baby is lying down. Two wide, flexible knitted ties prevent the bonnet from slipping out of place. We recommend tying the bow to the side of the jaw, near the ear, to avoid bulk under baby's chin.
The melange pattern is a medley of two different colored yarns, knitted together.
Babies can lose up to 90% of their body-heat through their head. As adults, our hair gives protection and warmth. Babies lack this protective covering. Dressing your baby with a soft baby cap, which covers the ears, during its first year of life, will help them retain the warmth that hair serves for older children and adults.

Care of your Disana woolens
- Hand washing is always best for organic wool, in cool to lukewarm water.
- Specially formulated wool-wash helps maintain wool's unique properties.
- Wool's self-cleansing properties prolong need for washing - simply let it air out between wearing.
- Washing before first use is not necessary with GOTS-certified wool.
- After washing, roll in terry cloth towel to press out excess water.
- Help garment regain its shape and elasticity by pulling into shape, if necessary.
- Dry lying flat or over drying rack, out of direct sunlight (which can discolor natural wool).
- Do not use bleach.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Iron on low setting, if necessary.
- Do not dry clean.
