Shipping & Returns/Exchanges
SHIPPING FEES
Many have come to expect free shipping, but we have opted to not offer this, as it is a huge expense for us. Please keep in mind, that these rates are most often less than our actual cost, especially cross-country!
We ship most orders with USPS Ground or Priority Mail, which often will reach you within 1-5 days from when it was shipped (during the peak of holiday rush, it can take longer). During the peak holiday season, from Thanksgiving through December 24, we will ship with US Priority Mail. We strive to ship all orders within 1-2 business days from when order is placed. Most packages are shipped within 24 hrs.
If the value of your package is over $250, we may opt to send it "signature required". Unfortunately, we're finding it a more common occurrence that packages disappear which have been noted as delivered. We apologize for the inconvenience this may impose.
If you would like expedited shipping, please contact us by phone (802-878-6089) or e-mail (info@danishwool.com). Express Mail (USPS) costs a minimum of $40 - not all addresses are guaranteed to reach the recipient overnight. Requests received after 1:00pm EST or on weekends may not be able to be shipped overnight. UPS Express currently costs a minimum of $135, so we do not offer this service. We do not ship with FedEx, as we have no shipping facility easily accessible to us. Thank you.
If you would like to add an item to your order after placing it, please reach out to us by email. We are not able to add charges to your payment method. We will determine a method of additional payment in our communications with you. You may also place a second order, and we will ship the two orders together and refund you the second shipping charge. Please send us an email to bring this to our attention.
Shipping fees within the USA are calculated based on your order subtotal as follows:

Shipping to all addresses within the state of Vermont is free.
CANADA & OTHER INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
By customer request, we will now, once again, ship to Canada. The year 2025 imposed difficulties in packages arriving in a timely, affordable manner.
We import these products to the US and do not ship to other international destinations, beyond Canada. APO addresses are, of course, acceptable and considered domestic mail.
We ship with USPS Priority Mail International/Global Post, which often takes at least 1 week to reach you. Our shipping charge covers shipping only; we are not responsible for any duty charges that might be added upon your receipt of the package. Please understand that our shipping charge often does not actually cover the cost of what we pay for shipping the package. The current charge is $40 USD for orders up to $100 USD and $50 USD for orders over $100. The currency noted on your order will be in CAD. Our invoicing is in USD.
If you would like us to ship USPS First Class International, for a lesser charge, please reach out to us by email. The cost may be approximately half, depending on weight. Packages weighing 4 lb+ cannot be shipped by this method. We will refund you the difference in shipping, based on actual cost. It may take at least twice as long for your package to reach you, especially during the busy holiday rush of Nov-Dec.
Priority Mail Express International may be an option and takes 3-5 business days to reach you. The cost starts at $60 USD, depending on weight. Please reach out to us by email if this is requested.
When sending packages with USPS Global Post to Canada, packages are initially routed through New Jersey, from where they are shipped to Canada. Your tracking information may reflect this initially, before it shows that it is on track to your personal address.
If you have placed an order and have not received it when expected, please check first with your local post-office. The package may be held there for you to pick up, if there are duty charges to be paid.
We appreciate our Canadian customers and apologize that the process has become so much more difficult in recent times!
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
Danish Woolen Delight offers products we are passionate about and feel we can stand behind. We understand, however, if an item purchased simply will not work for you. Our refund policy provides a full refund or exchange of unused items within 30 days of your purchase. We will accept returns/exchanges beyond this time, if they are unused and in original packaging and condition in which they were purchased. (Customer will be responsible for shipping charges on straight return items.)
Please send us an email to alert us of your intention, so we can anticipate the return - this will facilitate your refund.
All sales are final for Outlet or Clearance items.
If you would like to exchange an item, please contact us either by phone or e-mail (preferred method of communication). We will send the new item, along with an envelope, in which to return the original item. If there are multiple exchanges stemming from one order, we may opt to charge shipping beyond the original exchange.
