These leggings are slightly heavier/thicker than HOCOSA's regular wool/silk leggings.  The thermal variety have a special stitch pattern on the inner side of the textile, creating an almost "thin terry cloth-like" texture (see photo below).   This allows more air to be trapped between the wool/silk fibers, giving extra warmth against your skin.

We bought these as a trial, but have decided not to purchase more at this time.   Product is new, in original packaging.

HOCOSA calls their Unisex styles "Sport" - the cut is made to fit either men or women - the shoulders are more broad than women's shirts and the pants are cut more narrowly through the hips and are generally longer than women's sizes.

  • Made  of soothingly soft, GOTS-certified organic organic merino wool & silk blend.
  • 70/30% wool/silk blend unites the best qualities of each for a unique textile.
  • Wool absorbs moisture without feeling wet, keeping you comfortable & dry.
  • Silk adds extra softness & durability.
  • As wool absorbs moisture, lanolin is activated to remove bacteria & odors.
  • Natural fibers breathe, maintaining a comfortable temperature in warmth or cold.

Sizing  -  Unisex Size designation is "Men's", with comparable Women's size in parentheses.

To note, we find these particular leggings to run on the smaller side, since the added stitching makes them less stretchy than the regular wool/silk pants.  size Medium will likely fit Women size 10 and Large, Women size 12.

  • M (= Women's L, size 12)
  • L (= Women's XL, size 14)

More about HOCOSA ...

To maintain the health and longevity of your garments, organic wool is best washed by hand.  Many modern woolen items are treated with chemicals to allow them to tolerate machine-washing.  Certified organic wool does not contain such chemicals.  Some washing machines have a special wool-cycle, which maintains a lukewarm water temperature throughout the wash and rinse cycle, as well as minimizing agitation of the garment, which can lead to felting/shrinking.   See Caring for Wool

We recommend hand-washing with Kookaburra Wool WashBottle of Kookaburra Wool Wash

or LANACare Lanolin Soap with even more lanolin, 7.5%. The higher lanolin content is recommended for nursing pads & diaper covers, or to add even more softness to your woolens and to prolong the self-cleansing properties of the wool.
