Can I use Dr Jack Newman's All-Purpose-Nipple-Ointment with wool nursing pads?

Yes.  If after a period of use, the ointment seems to build up in the pads, without being removed when washed by hand, as recommended, the pads can be gently boiled to melt away the build-up.  The key is to place them in lukewarm water, and slowly heat the water to a gentle boil. The oily build-up will melt out of the pads.  The pads should then be re-lanolinized after boiling.  See Nursing Pads Care
