Sizing Info
European children’s sizes correspond to your baby/child’s length in centimeters.
One inch = approximately 2.5 cm. Convert inches to centimeters
For the best fit, measure by your baby/child’s length (inches) and multiply by 2.5 to get their length/height in centimeters. Pick the size that most closely matches your child’s height or longer, for example, if your child is 110 cm, buy size 116. If your child is heftier, we recommend one size up.
Baby/Toddler
- 50/56 (0-3 mo.) = 19.5 / 22 inches
- 62/68 (3-6 mo.) = 24.5 / 26.75 inches
- 74/80 (6-12 mo.) = 29 / 31.5 inches
- 86/92 (12-24 mo.) = 33.75 / 37 inches
- 98/104 (3-4 T) = 38.5 / 41.5 inches
Kids
-
92 = 37 in.
-
104 = 41.5 in.
-
116 = 46.5 in.
-
128 = 51 in.
-
140 = 56 in.
-
152 = 61 in.
-
164 = 65.5 in.
For items starting at size 92, the last digit in the size will often correspond roughly to the child’s age, so 92 = 2 yrs, 116 = 6 yrs, 140 = 10 yrs. If your child is heavier than average, go one size up.
For infant sizes, we find the age in months is quite accurate. But size by age is just an estimate, as we know, all babies are unique! Choose the size that corresponds to your baby’s length will give the best fit.
Hat sizes also correspond to your baby’s length, when options are 50, 62 etc. We are often asked which hat size best fits a baby's/child's head circumference. Through all our attempts at best answering this, we have found that it is still most accurate to gauge size by your infant's/child's length or age. If your baby/child's head circumference falls into the 80-90th percentile of the growth charts, we recommend going one size up.
If you still would like further detail, you can refer to this interactive growth chart, to see which percentile your baby's head circumference falls under, and compare it to at which age this would be the 50th percentile. Buy a hat for that age.

(with understanding that each woman may have individual preferences)
- Mini (9 cm – 3 1/2 in.) – recommended most often as additional inner layer for very heavy leaking – if opting for this alone, we recommend size XS.
- X-Small (12 cm – 5 in.)- A or B cup – most comparable in size to disposables, just a tad larger.
- Small (15 cm – 6 in.) – B, C or D cup – most commonly recommended size – will give full coverage, yet fit inside most bras.
- Medium (18 cm – 7 in.) – DD or larger
- Large (22 cm – 9 in.) and…
- Oval (18 x 27 cm – 7 x 11 in.) – for women who want even more coverage (these are much larger than most women expect, so please check measurements before ordering!)
