The founder of LANACare discovered the wonders of wool through wool diaper covers for babies. Read her story.
Wool's breathable natural fibers maintain a comfortable temperature next to baby's skin in warmth or cold. It can absorb up to 40% of its own weight moisture without feeling wet, and once damp, still feels warm. Wool's self-cleansing properties mean the garments don't need to be washed each time they've been worn - just let them air-dry overnight, and they'll be fresh and clean in the morning.
We recommend 3 covers of each size. Switch out/change the woolen cover each time you change the inner cotton diaper (untreated wool can absorb up to 40% of its own weight in moisture) to prevent leaking to outer clothing. Between diaper changes, the moisture will evaporate and the lanolin in the wool will be activated to cleanse away bacteria & odors. Replenish lanolin periodically, on average every 3 weeks.
